Synopsis

HITTING follows Boogie, a young trans person of color in the four years after they ‘age out’ of the foster care program in New York City. Determined to put together a family of their own Boogie starts a break dancing crew, signs a contract with a manager, and works to support their girlfriend and her son. Over time conflicts arise and the crew breaks apart, leaving Boogie with difficult decisions to make, some with heartbreaking consequences. HITTING follows a young person living on the margins of our tech-obsessed society, struggling to make a life as a wage earner while living off-the-grid, all in the heart of downtown Manhattan.
